SEBASTIAN

I would not by my will have troubled you;

It wasn’t my intention troubling you,

But, since you make your pleasure of your pains,

But, since it seems you like what you are doing,

I will no further chide you.

I will not criticise you anymore.

ANTONIO

I could not stay behind you: my desire,

I couldn’t stay behind once you had gone.

More sharp than filed steel, did spur me forth;

My wish, as sharp as steel, did spur me onwards

And not all love to see you, though so much

And wasn’t just for love of seeing you,

As might have drawn one to a longer voyage,

Although for love I’d take a longer trip,

But jealousy what might befall your travel,

But anxiously I worried for your travels,

Being skilless in these parts; which to a stranger,

For you don’t know these parts, and to a stranger,

Unguided and unfriended, often prove

Without a guide or friend, can often seem

Rough and unhospitable: my willing love,

ANTONIO

Haply your eye shall light upon some toy

Perhaps you’ll spot something that’s really nice

You have desire to purchase; and your store,

That you would like to buy, but your own funds,

I think, is not for idle markets, sir.

SEBASTIAN

I'll be your purse-bearer and leave you

I’ll take care of your wallet, and I’ll leave you

For an hour.

ANTONIO
